Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in education and support student success as a Special Education Case Manager/Teacher in a welcoming and collaborative school setting. A contract opportunity is available for the school year beginning early August 2026 through late May 2027.
Two full-time positions are open:
one focusing on middle school, and another supporting high school students. Both roles are based entirely onsite, providing you the chance to work directly with students and fellow educators.
What We're Looking For:
Valid Colorado Special Education (SPED) teaching certificate required Previous experience teaching or case managing special education in a school setting Strong understanding of IEP compliance, development, and implementation Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with staff and families Committed to fostering an inclusive environment and supporting student growth
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for a diverse caseload Provide direct instruction, support, and accommodations tailored to student needs Monitor and report academic and behavioral progress, adjusting plans as necessary Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, and related service providers Collaborate with general education teachers, school administration, and specialists Stay current with special education laws and best practices This is a meaningful way to advance your career while making a difference in the lives of middle or high schoolers.
