Job Description
Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Bring your passion for supporting diverse learners to an engaging, yearlong contract opportunity supporting elementary students with multiple disabilities. This onsite position offers the chance to work collaboratively with a dedicated team and make a meaningful impact within an inclusive elementary school setting.
Key Qualifications:
Active Colorado CDE License with Special Education Generalist endorsement Minimum of 2 years' experience leading classrooms for students with multiple disabilities Deep understanding of differentiated instruction and evidence-based intervention strategies Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment Skilled in collaborating with paraeducators, therapists, and other professionals Strong communication and organizational abilitiesPrimary Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to a caseload of up to 10 elementary-aged students Work closely with two paraeducators, as well as onsite OT/PT, psychologist/social worker, and speech-language pathologist support Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with district and state guidelines Utilize adaptive and assistive technology to support student learning Track student progress and adjust instructional strategies to ensure growth Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary team members Participate in professional development and school-based collaborationWhy This Opportunity Stands Out:
