Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students as a Special Education teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract position offers an opportunity to work with a mild/moderate caseload, providing much-needed support and guidance in a resource and/or inclusion setting. The start date is August 12, 2026, and you'll collaborate closely with a passionate team to develop, implement, and monitor individualized educational plans.
Key Qualifications:
Hold an active Colorado Special Education License or be eligible to obtain one through reciprocity. Demonstrated experience supporting elementary-aged students in a special education setting is preferred. Thorough understanding of IEP compliance, case documentation, and the special education process. Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with general education staff, related service providers, and families. Ability to address and support diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional student needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct special education instruction tailored to individual student needs. Create, implement, and review IEPs to maintain compliance and drive student progress. Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and maintain accurate special education documentation. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals, participating in IEP and multidisciplinary meetings. Offer resource and/or inclusion support, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. This position is onsite, though hybrid candidates may be considered based on district needs and preferences.
