Special Ed Teacher - Thornton, Colorado ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Thornton, CO Job Details Full-time | Contract $25.82 - $49.82 an hour 13 days ago Qualifications School experience Special Education Certification Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Multiple full-time contract opportunities are available for passionate professionals eager to support diverse learners across a variety of settings and grade levels.
Positions available include:
Full-Time Affective Needs Teacher (center-based program) at Centennial Elementary Structured Learning Services Teacher (center-based program) at Eagleview Elementary Full-Time Learning Specialist at Westlake Middle School SSN Teacher at Northglenn High School With assignments spanning elementary to high school, you'll have the opportunity to work in environments focused on specialized support, individualized strategies, and thriving school communities.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Colorado Department of Education special education certification is required Previous experience teaching students with affective needs, structured learning, or significant support needs is preferred Demonstrated skill in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt instruction to meet individualized learning plans Strong communication and organizational skills Flexibility for onsite work and willingness to travel within the North Denver area as needed
Role Responsibilities:
Implement and adapt curriculum for students with a broad spectrum of needs Develop, monitor, and achieve IEP goals collaboratively Communicate regularly with families, staff, and service providers Maintain accurate documentation and progress records Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment Engage in ongoing professional development and team meetings Each school presents a unique and welcoming atmosphere focused on student growth.
