Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a positive impact in elementary education as a part-time Special Education Teacher, supporting students in Grades K-5 in a resource pull-out classroom setting. This contract opportunity starts mid-September 2026 and continues through June 2027, providing a chance to foster growth and learning for young students in a supportive environment. Work Monday through Thursday, 9am to 2pm, for a total of 20 hours per week—perfect for educators seeking a consistent, manageable schedule. This role offers competitive hourly compensation from $37 to $47, reflecting your specialized skills and dedication.
Key Qualifications:
Hold a valid 165 or 165 CT Special Education PK-12 license (DSAP licenses not accepted) Demonstrate strong experience with elementary-age students (K-5) Background in special education resource or pull-out settings preferred Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families Ability to create, implement, and adapt individualized education plans to meet diverse learning needs Passion for shaping a nurturing, inclusive classroom culture
Responsibilities:
