Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type All Job Types Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting the growth and development of young learners as a Special Education Teacher for Pre-K students. This full-time position focuses on nurturing the unique abilities of 3 and 4-year-olds in a supportive educational setting. The role runs from August through June 2026, offering consistency and meaningful engagement throughout the academic year.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education Teaching Certification Experience working with preschool-aged children and a strong understanding of early childhood development Knowledge of IEP processes and ability to implement individualized learning strategies Excellent communication and collaboration skills with parents, staff, and specialists Ability to create an inclusive, positive, and patient classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and adapt lesson plans that cater to each child's individual needs while aligning with early childhood standards Implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Foster a nurturing environment that encourages social, emotional, and academic growth Assess student progress and maintain accurate records, sharing updates with families and colleagues Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers to ensure cohesive support Participate in professional development and ongoing training to stay updated on best practices in special education This is your chance to make a lasting impact in the lives of young children, providing them with the support and encouragement they need to thrive.
