Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of middle school students as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant, supportive setting. What You'll Bring:
Valid Connecticut Special Education Certification with a 165 Endorsement Experience working with middle school students is highly valued Strong communication and classroom management skills Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Your Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs Design, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student achievement Track student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed to ensure success Create an environment where each student feels valued, empowered, and supported This opportunity features a consistent schedule of 7.5-hour days (including a 30-minute break) over a 4-day week, providing a fantastic work-life balance while allowing you to focus on what matters most: supporting students' growth and development.
