Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support high school students in a resource and inclusion classroom setting located in North Grosvenordale, CT. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 11, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:15 AM to 2:30 PM.
Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted instruction aligned with individual students' IEP goals Provide support within inclusion and resource classroom environments for grades 9-12 Collaborate effectively with general education teachers and support staff to enhance student outcomes Monitor and assess student progress, modifying instruction methods as needed Ensure all practices meet state and district special education regulations and guidelines
Qualifications:
Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher Certification for grades 9-12 Experience working with mild to moderate special education populations preferred Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting while maintaining individualized student focus Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on high school students with special needs, fostering their growth and academic success in a supportive learning environment.
