Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity is for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in an engaging school environment. The position requires working 37.5 hours per week during the school year, providing tailored educational support to meet the unique learning needs of students with disabilities.

School Setting Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with state guidelines. Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods to enhance learning outcomes. Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents, administrators, and related service providers. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth and development.
Qualifications:
Valid Connecticut Special Education Teaching License appropriate for elementary grades. Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings.
