Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type All Job Types Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher, serving Pre-K students aged 3 and 4. This full-time role spans from August through June 2026, offering you the chance to work closely with early childhood students and make a meaningful difference during their foundational years.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education Teaching Certification, appropriate for early childhood or Pre-K Previous experience working with young children, particularly those with special needs Knowledge of early intervention strategies and specialized instructional techniques Ability to collaborate with families, general education teachers, and support staff Strong communication and organizational skills Dedication to fostering inclusive, supportive classroom environments
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's strengths and needs Create a nurturing and engaging learning atmosphere to support social, emotional, and academic growth Adapt instructional materials and strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles Collaborate with related service providers and participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings Partner with parents and caregivers to maximize student development and progress Regularly track, assess, and document student outcomes to ensure effective instruction Working with Pre-K students in special education allows you to play a vital role in their early growth—setting the stage for future learning and success.
