Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of middle school students as a Special Education Teacher, supporting learners in a dynamic setting near Hartford, CT. Highlights include an immediate start date and a consistent four-day workweek (7.5 hours per day, including a 30-minute break), allowing you to nurture a healthy work-life balance while positively impacting students each day through the end of the 2025-2026 school year.
Key Qualifications:
Possession of a valid Connecticut Special Education Certification (165 Endorsement) is required Experience working with middle school-aged students is highly valued Demonstrated skills in classroom management and effective communication
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instruction to middle school students with special needs, addressing diverse learning styles Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Partner with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure student success Track student progress, providing adjustments to instruction as needed and documenting growth This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team and impact students' educational journeys.
