Job Description

Description:
The Meriden Public Schools seeks a full time special education teacher for the 2026-2027 school year for John Barry Elementary School in the STARS program. Responsibilities of the STARS teacher may include conducting individual assessments, writing IEP's, participating in PPT's, timely reporting of student progress, assisting in development of FBA's & BIP's, training and supervision of paraprofessionals, maintaining positive communication with parents, developing student schedules, and other related duties assigned by the supervisor or principal.
Qualifications:
A valid Connecticut teacher certification with endorsement #065, #165 or #265 is required.
