Principal, Director, or Designee Job Goal:
To support students in achieving academic, social, and emotional growth by providing individualized instruction and accommodations, helping them develop into mature, capable, and responsible citizens.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs Provide direct instruction in a resource room setting Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records Adapt curriculum and materials to ensure accessibility Supervise and support assigned aides and volunteers Participate in PPT meetings and contribute to the development of student plans Perform other duties as assigned by administration Qualifications (Required): Valid Connecticut certification in one or more of the following areas: 065
  • Comprehensive Special Education, K-12 165
  • Comprehensive Special Education, Birth-Grade 3 265
  • Comprehensive Special Education, Grades 1-6
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish Experience working with students with a range of learning needs in inclusive and specialized settings
Salary Range:
Commensurate with professional experience and per the NLEA contract
