Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support a 7th grade caseload for the remainder of the school year in Rocky Hill, CT. The position is full-time, contract-based, and focused on delivering tailored educational support to students with special needs in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students in the 7th grade. Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive classroom environments. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Maintain thorough documentation and communicate regularly with parents and administrators. Utilize various teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles.Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification. Experience working with middle school-aged students, particularly 7th grade. Strong knowledge of special education best practices and legal requirements. Ability to manage a full-time caseload and effectively organize time.
