In this role, you will design and implement tailored instructional strategies to support adults with disabilities, ensuring they receive the personalized attention necessary to thrive socially, and emotionally. Your energetic approach and commitment to working towards their goals will inspire individuals to reach their full potential in a nurturing environment. Duties Develop and adapt individualized plans (IPs) to meet each individual's unique requirements and goals. Plan and deliver engaging lessons about life skills, incorporating best practices. Implement evidence-based behavioral management techniques and behavioral therapy strategies to promote positive behaviors. Conduct assessments to monitor individual progress and inform instructional adjustments. Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and other specialists to support comprehensive individual development. Maintain detailed documentation of individual progress, IP goals, and behavioral reports while ensuring compliance with DDS standards. Engage in ongoing professional development related to special education practices. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities in classroom settings or specialized programs. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and external specialists. Ability to implement speech therapy strategies and behavioral health interventions when necessary. Skilled in classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior and engagement among students with varying needs.
