As a Health Teacher at Pinnacle School, you'll design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction that supports students' physical, emotional, and social well-being. You will help students build essential life skills while creating a safe, inclusive space for open discussion, self-awareness, and growth. What You'll Need Valid Connecticut Health certification (043) Experience working with students with language-based learning differences Strong classroom management skills with proactive de-escalation strategies Commitment to supporting students with diverse academic and social-emotional needs Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and flexible approach What You'll Do Design and deliver a health curriculum covering topics like nutrition, mental health, and relationships Create a safe and inclusive classroom that encourages discussion and self-awareness Adapt instruction to meet a wide range of learning, behavioral, and emotional needs Collaborate with counselors, teachers, and staff to support student growth and consistency Promote healthy habits and self-advocacy for real-life success Why You'll Love Working Here Enjoy both paid time off and extra paid school breaks (for select roles), plus paid holidays.
