Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Travel An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Early Childhood (PreK) to provide instruction and support in a travel position located in Vernon Rockville, CT. The assignment begins ASAP and continues through June 18, 2026, with a schedule of 27.5 hours per week, spread evenly over 5 days (5.5 hours per day). This role involves working with a caseload of approximately 12 PreK students requiring special education services. Primary responsibilities include delivering tailored instruction, preparing and participating in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings, documenting progress, and writing educational goals that meet individual student needs.
Key qualifications and experience:
Proven experience teaching PreK in a public school setting Valid Early Childhood Certification in Connecticut, specifically either #112 or #113 Strong knowledge of special education strategies and early childhood development Ability to manage a caseload effectively and complete detailed progress reports and goal writing Flexibility to accommodate interview scheduling with advance notice Working in this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners' development within a supportive school environment.
