Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Early Childhood education to join a school in West Hartford, CT. This contract position offers a blend of instructional duties and collaborative responsibilities, tailored to support the development of young learners with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction to a caseload of approximately 12 PreK students. Prepare and participate in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings. Document student progress through progress reports and goal writing to track individual growth and meet educational objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience teaching PreK in a public school setting is mandatory. Hold either the #112 or #113 Early Childhood Certification in Connecticut. Strong understanding of special education requirements and individualized student needs.

Position Details:

Contract duration: Start ASAP through June 18, 2026.

Weekly schedule:

27.5 hours, Monday through Friday (5.5 hours per day). Flexible interview scheduling to accommodate candidates' availability.
