Hours of Work:
Standard work week. Monday-Friday Ezra Academy seeks a part-time Jewish studies teacher to join the upper school team in August 2026. The ideal candidate will bring experience teaching Jewish texts in Hebrew, particularly Bible and Mishnah, a dexterity with planning and assessment, and a commitment to conveying our traditions with joy and curiosity in a setting that champions a progressive pedagogy. The scope of the curriculum is designed for students from fifth through eighth grade. Flexible scheduling is available given that the position is part-time. Ezra Academy is a Jewish day school with a Montessori for kindergarten students and younger. Ezra Academy's lower and upper schools serve students through eighth grade. We boast a student-centered, progressive pedagogy, a commitment to timeless Jewish values, and a commitment to excellence. We have shared our home with Congregation B'nai Jacob just outside of New Haven in Woodbridge, Connecticut, since 1969.
