Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Qualifications:
Valid DE DHH credential/certification required Experience teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt instructional strategies to individual student needs Collaborative mindset and commitment to diversity and inclusion in education
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction tailored to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across varying grade levels Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and monitor student progress Consult and collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families Utilize a variety of communication methods and accessible resources to support learning Foster a positive, supportive classroom climate Maintain accurate records and documentation as required
