Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity shaping young lives as a Special Education Teacher for 10th and 12th grade students in a supportive secondary school setting near Wilmington, DE. This position is designed for educators passionate about making a positive impact through tailored academic support and collaboration within the English curriculum. Your responsibilities will center around providing push-in services for English classrooms and leading instruction in two small group English settings. You will oversee a manageable caseload of 23 students, working closely with general education teachers to modify and adapt lessons, implement IEP goals, and ensure all learners reach their full potential. This role will run from August 2026 through June 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
Active Indiana (IN) Special Education Certification is required Previous experience working in a SPED role, ideally with high school students Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Familiarity with push-in models and experience facilitating small group instruction Excellent communication and collaboration skills Dedication to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
