Job Overview Join our dedicated team as an Early Head Start Teacher, where you will play a vital role in nurturing the development of infants and toddlers in a vibrant early childhood education setting. As an Early Head Start Teacher, you will work closely with families, collaborate with colleagues, and implement innovative curriculum strategies to support each child's unique journey. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including curriculum development tailored to infants and toddlers. Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and encourages curiosity and exploration. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that support childhood development milestones, including literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and sensory play. Collaborate with families to discuss child progress, share developmental insights, and provide guidance on early intervention strategies when necessary. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's growth using standardized testing methods and document progress to inform instructional planning. Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining compliance with childcare regulations and best practices in daycare settings. Support children with special needs by adapting activities and collaborating with specialists to ensure inclusive learning experiences. Skills Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including Montessori methods and toddler care techniques. Experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and implementing curriculum across diverse learning styles. Familiarity with working with children who have special educational needs or are receiving early intervention services. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, colleagues, and community partners. Proficiency in behavior management strategies that foster positive social interactions and emotional regulation. Ability to utilize classroom experience to create engaging activities that promote literacy education, math skills, and physical development. Knowledge of childcare regulations, childhood development benchmarks, and best practices for preschool experience and daycare environments. Qualifications:
CDA or Florida Staff Credential Minimum of 1 year of experience in a child care setting First Aid and CPR certified Ability to pass a drug screening Experience writing observations and lesson plans Must be loving, caring, patient, and nurturing with children If you are passionate about working with infants and toddlers and meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you!
