Job Description

We are seeking a special education teacher to join our school faculty. Pinnacle Academy is a private school located in beautiful Lakewood Ranch, FL. Our program enhances student success by providing low teacher-to-student ratios, using multisensory learning approaches, and offering project-based learning opportunities. Candidates should be enthusiastic about teaching, be creative in the classroom, and hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree with an Educator's teaching certificate. Implement differentiated instructional strategies to ensure all students can access and learn FL Best standards. Qualified Teacher with expertise in Education Skills in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development Strong understanding of multi-sensory learning and various teaching methodologies Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and staff Experience working with students who have learning differences
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Light Work:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.
Mobility:
The role requires the ability to walk around campus, including navigating uneven terrain.
Physical Endurance:
The position involves periods of standing and walking to monitor student activities and ensure safety across the school grounds.
Outdoor Supervision:
Supervise and engage with students in various outdoor settings, including during recess, physical education, and other extracurricular activities.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
