  • Full-time Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf is a nonprofit school.
Blossom is seeking an energetic professional teacher to teach our small (5:1) Montessori based classroom. Job Responsibilities This person needs be comfortable teaching and developing lesson plans for all subjects for a variety of levels. Understands and uses the Montessori curriculum. This person will write quarterly Progress Reports and Report Cards for each student. This person will develop a Growth and Development Plan for each student in their classroom. This person will assist in our After Care Program on a daily basis. Blossom also host family events and we would ask that this person works them (there are three evening events per school year). We are really lucky to have a great group of students and supportive parents. The foundation has been set. We are just looking for a dynamic teacher to make our team complete. Job Requirements Minimum of a B.A. in Deaf Education. Fluent in American Sign Language (please don't apply if you are not). Good command of Written English. Technology savvy. Montessori Certification or knowledge is a plus. Experience working with children of multiple ages and levels. 40 clock hour(MODS) or CDA/ CDAe is a plus.
