Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract An elementary special education teacher position is available for a 12-week leave coverage starting in August. This on-site role is ideal for a dedicated professional with experience in special education, ready to support and engage students in a dynamic school environment.

Clermont, FL Job Type:
Contract (12 weeks, starting in August)
Setting:
Elementary School (In-person only)
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with special needs Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) tailored to each student Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure an inclusive learning environment Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress regularly
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid special education teaching certification Proven experience teaching in an elementary special education setting Strong knowledge of ESE best practices and classroom management techniques Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team Effective communication skills with students, parents, and staff
