This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners, foster their academic growth, and support their social-emotional development. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a passion for education to create an engaging learning environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction across core subjects while integrating innovative teaching strategies and technology to meet diverse student needs. This position is essential in shaping confident, well-rounded students ready to excel academically and socially. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in subjects such as literacy education, math, science, social studies, and physical education. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful learning environment. Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments, including standardized testing preparations, to tailor instruction accordingly. Incorporate learning technology tools and digital resources to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, interdisciplinary projects, and school-wide initiatives to promote cohesive learning experiences. Provide mentorship and support to students with special needs or those requiring early intervention strategies, including working with children with autism or other developmental challenges. Communicate consistently with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and upcoming events through various channels. Participate in professional development opportunities focused on classroom management, literacy education, early childhood education principles, or Montessori methods to continually refine teaching practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; advanced certifications preferred. Valid teaching license or certification for Grades 3-5 in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven classroom experience working with elementary-aged children across diverse backgrounds. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in early childhood education. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment strategies including standardized testing preparation. Proficiency in working with learning technology platforms and digital educational tools. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, staff, and administration. Ability to manage classroom behavior proactively while fostering an inclusive environment that supports all learners. Prior experience in private schools or Montessori settings is a plus; familiarity with special education or working with individuals with autism is highly desirable.
