The ideal candidate will implement the Florida VPK curriculum while creating a fun, structured, and nurturing enviornment. Responsibilities Plan and implement VPK curriculum aligned with Florida standards. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere by managing behavior effectively and promoting respectful interactions among children. Support children's social-emotional growth through behavior management strategies tailored to individual needs. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support child welfare initiatives. Incorporate early intervention techniques and special education strategies to support children with diverse learning needs. Maintain accurate records of student progress, including assessments aligned with standardized testing standards. Lead classroom activities that promote childhood development milestones, including toddler care and preschool experiences. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or daycare environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and practices, with familiarity in curriculum development and lesson planning. Experience with classroom management techniques that foster a safe, inclusive learning environment. Background in special education or early intervention programs is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with families, staff, and external professionals. Demonstrated ability to implement literacy education strategies and teaching physical education activities. Certification or training in early childhood education is preferred; relevant coursework or credentials are a plus. This role is ideal for passionate educators eager to inspire young learners while advancing their career in a nurturing environment dedicated to excellence in preschool education.
Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
