Lead Canine Care Specialist

DogsWorld's Canine Care Leads (CCL) serve the important function of helping to oversee daily operations for lodging, daycare and grooming. CCL's primary duty is to ensure that our high standards of care in health, safety and well-being and fun are met or exceeded every shift. This is a working position with some supervisory authority to assign groups, assign specific tasks to CCS'S and responsibility to ensure that daily checklists and other paperwork is completed for every shift. They answer to the Resort Manager directly and is in her/his absence to the Operations Manager or Owner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The CCL is responsible for adhering to the daily resort schedule and making sure that tasks are being completed in a timely and efficient manner Verifying all dogs in groups get along and if not re-placing them in another group Give all dogs their correct feeding at the correct time Ensuring all dogs go home happy, healthy, clean and with all their belongings Some paperwork required: Temperament Tests, Report cards, Lodging logs, Bath log and Room Cards are filled out properly. Maintain the accuracy of white boards, room cards and bin cards Regular walk throughs of the hotel and all play areas to ensure cleanliness, healthiness and tour readiness. Ensuring that CCS follow proper procedures, especially regarding health, safety, and sanitation All proper cleaning procedures are followed thoroughly each and every day

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year outside pet resort experience

SKILLS REQUIRED

Excellent dog handling skills, knowledge of dog behavior/ psychology and breed characteristics Great safety record and excellent management in group play Through understanding of the importance of safety and sanitary standards Good judgment in selecting groups Ability to coach less experienced staff when they are struggling in group or their cleaning or dog management and handling is not up to par Ability to be a leader be example and be supervising CCSs Good organization skills and attention to detail Reliable Pet CPR and/or training experience is a plus SALARY Salary tied to experience.
