In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing individualized instructional plans that meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities. You will foster a supportive learning environment that promotes growth, independence, and confidence among students with developmental disabilities, autism, visual impairments, and other special needs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while working within a collaborative and innovative educational setting. The ESE teacher will have a designated autism coach and specialist on their team to assist in lesson planning, behaviors, IEPs, etc. Responsibilities Develop and implement tailored lesson plans aligned with individual education plans (IEPs) to support student learning and development across multiple disciplines including literacy, math, social skills, and functional life skills Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies such as applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral therapy, and instructional design to enhance student engagement and progress Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, and parents to ensure comprehensive support for each student Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies tailored for students with special needs Incorporate educational technology tools and learning technology to facilitate interactive and accessible learning experiences Monitor student progress regularly through assessments, standardized testing, and ongoing observations; adjust instruction accordingly to meet evolving needs Ensure compliance with all educational laws, regulations, and policies related to special education services while maintaining accurate documentation such as IEPs and progress reports Skills Knowledge of special education practices, no certification required.

Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies Proficiency in reading and math.
