Starting at $35/hour (dependent on experience) Position Overview Birch Agency is seeking compassionate and dedicated Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teachers for three immediate openings in Miami, Florida . These school-based opportunities offer the chance to work with students across elementary grade levels while providing individualized instruction and support that promotes academic, behavioral, and social success. Current OpeningsKindergarten ESE Teacher Full-time Elementary school setting Support students in a specialized Kindergarten classroom through individualized instruction, behavior supports, and IEP implementation. 1st 2nd Grade ESE Teacher Full-time Elementary school setting Provide specialized instruction for students in 1st and 2nd grade while collaborating with classroom teachers and related service providers. K 6 ESE Teacher Part-time Elementary school setting Provide ESE services to students across Kindergarten through 6th grade while supporting IEP implementation and student progress monitoring. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals. Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to each student's academic, behavioral, and functional needs. Adapt curriculum materials, instructional strategies, and classroom accommodations. Implement evidence-based instructional practices and positive behavior support strategies. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records. Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, therapists, and families to promote student success. Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development opportunities. Foster a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages student growth and independence. Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Exceptional Student Education, Special Education, or a related field required. Active Florida Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teaching Certification required (or eligibility to obtain). Previous experience working with students with diverse learning, developmental, or behavioral needs preferred. Knowledge of IEP development, differentiated instruction, and special education compliance. Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Passion for helping students achieve their fullest potential. Work Environment Elementary school settings serving students from Kindergarten through 6th grade. Opportunities available in both full-time and part-time schedules. Collaborative multidisciplinary teams including general education teachers, therapists, school psychologists, administrators, and related service providers.
