JOB SUMMARY

The Lead Teacher develops building-level administrative skills by assisting the school administrative team in providing a high-quality Extended School Year program. Responsible to: Principal/Assistant Principal

Coordinates:

Extended School Year (ESY) Program Payment rate: Current hourly rate of pay for 105 hours

Qualifications:

1. Is viewed as a leader within the school 2. Minimum of three years successful experience in teaching 3. Effective or Highly Effective on 2 most recent annual performance evaluations 4. Recommendation from current principal 5. Desire to continue leadership skill development

Desired Qualifications:

1. Experience with teaching or leading Extended School Day/Year 2. Experience with ESY instructional resources 3. Holds Educational Leadership Certification

Essential Functions:

1. Ensure ESY program is aligned to district guidelines. 2. Support the functions of the school including student discipline and other supervisory duties as assigned by the principal. 3. Assist the principal and administrative team in the overall administration of the Extended School Year program. 4. Coordinates the staff development needs of the ESY program. 5. Communicate and work effectively with members of the school, district and community 6. Work independently and without supervision, and complete work in an efficient manner. 7. React to change and frequent interruptions in a productive and positive manner, meeting deadlines as assigned.
