NEWHORIZON ACADEMY FOR EXCEPTIONAL STUDENTS, INC. POSITION SUMMARY
: The Florida Certified ESE Teacher will give direct instructions to students with disabilities in grades K through 12th and will participate in staffing's as the NHA Education Representative, assisting in the collection, recording and maintaining of required data for students under the Florida education scholarships. .ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintain a valid Florida Teaching Certificate or appropriate certifications. Create and execute individual education plans for each of the students in your care. Participate in IEP (individual education plan) meetings as scheduled by Marion County School District as the NHA Education Representative. Complete all forms required for exceptional student education according to district and staffing procedures. Assists in the completion of the I.E.P (Individualized Education Plan), EP (Educational Plan) or SP (Service Plan) and necessary forms. Provide a safe and secure workplace maintaining confidentiality regarding student and school information. Possess considerable skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with NHA staff, students and families. Confidentiality and Ethics- Maintain ethical standards and confidentiality at all times.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution. Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years successful Exceptional Student Education (ESE) classroom teaching experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience that is deemed equal or superior to the foregoing requirements. Certificates and/or Licenses
- Florida Certification in Exceptional Student Education; valid Florida driver's license.
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday-Wednesday or Tuesday-Thursday 8:00-2pmPAY RANGE
$15- $17 per hour ~
