This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster a love of language, literature, and critical thinking while supporting students' academic growth and personal development. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a commitment to excellence in education, creating a vibrant classroom environment that encourages curiosity and active learning. You will be instrumental in developing innovative lesson plans, integrating learning technology, and nurturing students' literacy skills to prepare them for future academic success. Duties Design and implement engaging lessons based off of curriculum tailored to middle school English standards, incorporating creative writing, literacy education, and analytical skills Develop lesson plans that align with educational goals, standardized testing requirements, and best practices in instructional design Utilize learning technology tools to enhance classroom instruction and facilitate interactive learning experiences Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques Collaborate with colleagues on the closing of gaps, development of engaging instructions through robust lesson planning, assessment strategies, and school-wide initiatives to promote a cohesive learning environment Skills Strong knowledge of content, instructional design, and literacy education principles Excellent communication skills for engaging students, parents, and colleagues effectively Proven classroom management skills with experience working with diverse student populations including those requiring special education accommodations Proficiency in working with learning technology platforms and integrating digital tools into lessons Expertise in teaching higher education concepts such as research methods or journalism within a middle school context Ability to mentor students in creative writing, standardized testing preparation, and academic advising Organizational skills necessary for lesson planning, grading, record-keeping, and managing multiple priorities efficiently Join us as a Middle School English Teacher to make a meaningful impact on young learners' lives!
