  • Full-time Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM-3:00 PM Friday 7:00 AM-1:30 PM Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse learning needs. This role involves developing individualized education plans (IEPs), implementing effective teaching strategies, and fostering the academic and social growth of students with disabilities. Duties Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs. Create engaging lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles and abilities. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment. Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and parents to support student progress. Assess student performance and adapt instructional methods as necessary. Provide support for students with developmental disabilities, including those requiring deaf education. Teach physical education or other subjects as needed, ensuring accessibility for all students. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Valid teaching certification in Special Education. Experience working with children with disabilities, including those with developmental disabilities and deaf education. Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management. Knowledge of early childhood education principles is a plus. Ability to create a nurturing environment that promotes student engagement and success. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and staff. Commitment to fostering an inclusive educational experience for all students.
