Qualifications:
Valid Florida Educator Certification required Previous experience or training as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired preferred Strong skills in braille, assistive technology, and instructional access Ability to support students with complex needs Comfortable working virtually and supporting multiple sites Must complete (or have valid) FL fingerprints; JLA badge required
Responsibilities:
Supplement district TVI team by providing expertise and mentoring Deliver ongoing individualized support to school-based staff Support implementation of braille and assistive technology instruction Consult and train teams serving students with visual impairments Promote consistency and best practices across schools Foster capacity and confidence, with direct support tapering over time
