Job Description

CES Academy St. Petersburg is a faith-based, K-12 private school serving approximately 150 students of all learning abilities. As part of the Children's Educational Services, Inc. network, our school is fully accredited through Cognia and deeply committed to helping students grow in their God-given strengths within a nurturing, Christ-centered environment. Our Exceptional Student Education (ESE) program—known as the Foundations Program —is designed to support students in developing strong academic, social, and emotional skills essential for lifelong success. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Foundations Teacher to join our team and inspire students to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards. Foster a positive, inclusive, and Christ-centered classroom environment that supports respect, growth, and curiosity. Assess student progress regularly and tailor instruction to meet individual learning needs. Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success. Use diverse instructional strategies, materials, and technology to accommodate various learning styles. Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities. Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation. Uphold and model the school's mission, values, and policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education (preferred). Valid Florida teaching certification (preferred). Experience working with ESE students in a classroom setting. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture. Ability to differentiate instruction and address diverse student needs.
Additional Requirement:
