Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods Lead daily classroom activities that promote social-emotional growth, cognitive development, and physical skills among preschool-aged children Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful learning environment Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any special needs or interventions required Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of student development and incidents Incorporate early intervention strategies and special education practices to support diverse learning needs Oversee lesson planning, assessment administration, and standardized testing preparations to monitor student progress effectively Skills Extensive experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, including toddler care and early childhood education Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and child welfare practices Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and child development instruction Familiarity with Montessori methods, preschool teaching standards, and physical education activities for young children Ability to implement behavior management strategies that foster positive classroom dynamics Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, staff, and community partners Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols to ensure compliance and child protection Join us as a VPK Lead Teacher to inspire young minds through innovative teaching practices while supporting their growth in a dynamic educational environment.
