Tampa, FL Job Details Temporary | Full-time | Contract $24.10 - $29.02 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Tuition reimbursement Qualifications National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) Full Job Description Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Summer 2026 Certified VPK (VPK stands for Voluntary Prekindergarten) Lead Teacher, where your passion for early childhood education will inspire young learners and foster their developmental growth. In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curriculum tailored to preschool-aged children, and create a nurturing environment that promotes curiosity, literacy, and social-emotional skills. Your expertise in early intervention, behavior management, and childhood development will ensure each child's unique needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. This paid summer position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on children's educational journeys while gaining valuable classroom experience. Duties Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods Lead engaging classroom activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and cognitive development among preschool children Foster a positive learning environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address individual needs or concerns Incorporate special education techniques and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning requirements Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessments in accordance with standardized testing protocols Ensure the safety, welfare, and overall well-being of children in care by adhering to childcare regulations and best practices Experience Prior classroom experience working with preschool or toddler-aged children in educational or daycare settings Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience developing curriculum content that integrates literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children in a classroom environment Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners Knowledge of special education strategies, early intervention programs, and Montessori or other alternative teaching methods is a plus Previous experience working in private schools or daycare centers is preferred; bilingual abilities are advantageous This role is ideal for dedicated
