Caregiver | Companion Care Specialist Ludessia Recovery & Companion Care Atlanta, GA Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Full-time $19 - $35 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement Paid time off Paid orientation Professional development assistance Flexible schedule Referral program Qualifications Working with individuals with developmental disabilities CPR Certification Hospice experience BLS Certification HIPAA First Aid Certification Full Job Description Position Overview Ludessia is seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional caregivers to provide non-medical companion and personal support services to clients in the comfort of their homes throughout the Atlanta area. Our caregivers support postpartum families, recovery clients, seniors, and individuals needing respite or companionship support. This role is ideal for individuals who are calm, emotionally mature, attentive to detail, and passionate about helping others maintain dignity and comfort during important life transitions. This is a non-medical caregiving position. Duties Assist clients with non-medical activities of daily living Provide companionship and emotional support Assist with mobility and safety supervision Prepare light meals and snacks Perform light housekeeping related to client care Support organization and comfort within the home Assist with errands and transportation when approved Provide overnight companionship support when assigned Observe and report changes in client condition or environment Maintain accurate care notes and communication logs Follow individualized care plans and agency protocols Maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality at all times Qualifications Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or long-term care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed for resident transfers or mobility support Strong communication skills with the ability to follow detailed care plans and document patient information accurately Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialized memory or dementia care Familiarity with healthcare regulations and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards Requirements Applicants may be required to successfully complete: Criminal background screening Reference verification Identity verification Orientation and onboarding training Skills competency review Ongoing caregiver education requirements Confidentiality agreement acknowledgment State-required compliance documentation
