Certified & Experienced Vinyasa Yoga Teacher

In this role, you'll be responsible for guiding classes, creating goodwill within our community, owning the teaching room and developing a love & reverence for yoga within your students (as well as guiding them deeper into their bodies). We are seeking an experienced Vinyasa teacher to lead classes on a weekend morning. While we do hire less experienced teachers when they have a strong teaching voice and smart sequencing

• for this role we are seeking a teacher with studio teaching experience and a good grasp of alignment and philosophy, plus the ability to lead a class on the breath without demoing.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Elevate our attention to students & ensure all students feel seen Craft classes according to our class descriptions, in an intentional way Deliver classes with passion and credibility

• teaching off your mat (our teaching style is to demo very little and be off our mats 95% of the time) Carry the philosophy of yoga into your teaching and your interactions with students and co-workers.

Effectively and efficiently communicate with Owner and Teacher Manager Keep a tidy and mindful room space including tidying up after each and every class to leave the space how it's meant to be Maintaining consistent presence in team SLACK channel, being present for classes 95% of the year, and keeping a positive and team oriented approach work You'll thrive in this position with an outgoing personality, high level of organization, and the ability to build rapport or if you're just an amazing teacher who delivers a rock solid class and is highly accountable.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Yoga Teacher Certification at 200HR level + One Year of Teaching Experience with at least 6 Months of dedicated studio teaching experience Required
• Highly accountable, on time, consistent communicator Required

Our work environment is:

a relaxed & connection-oriented atmosphere bright & full of natural light in the amazing neighborhood of Summerhill, off the new high-speed bus route and very walkable Our Pay is based on an hourly rate and our teaching shifts start 20 minutes before class time and end 10 minutes after class. Your per class rate would be 1.5 times the hourly rate if you teach a 60-minute offering. Pay starts at $30-40 per hour ($45-60 per class + bonus) depending upon experience . We review compensation at 6 months and again annually thereafter with the goal of offering raises to our strongest performers every year.
