Special Education Teacher - Atlanta, GA ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Atlanta, GA Job Details Contract 10 hours ago Qualifications Working with students with special education needs Classroom Teaching Special Education Certification Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, working with K-8 students in a vibrant educational setting near Atlanta, GA. This position spans the full academic year, starting August 3, 2026, and concluding May 28, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule for up to 37.5 hours each week. Your expertise will shape young minds and support students' diverse learning needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid and current Special Education Teacher certification Approximately five years of experience in special education Proficiency with state data systems and data reporting Proven track record of meticulous record keeping Experience supporting diverse learning styles within K-8 populations Strong communication and teamwork abilities Adaptable approach and commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive classrooms
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student IEPs Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure compliance and success Maintain accurate, up-to-date records for IEPs, evaluations, and progress reports Utilize state data systems for compliance reporting and analysis Engage with parents, administrators, and other stakeholders professionally Foster a positive, encouraging classroom environment that promotes student growth and independence Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet a wide range of educational needs
