Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | Columbus, Georgia ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Columbus, GA Job Details Full-time | Contract 20 hours ago Qualifications Teaching Certification Teaching students with hearing impairments Working with students Classroom experience Working with students with special education needs Classroom Teaching Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing is needed for the upcoming school year. This full-time contract role spans from August 3, 2026, to May 21, 2027, with potential pre- and post-planning days, and offers opportunities to work with a rich and diverse student population across multiple school buildings in the area.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Georgia Educator Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) Proven experience working within school settings supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Strong documentation skills, including willingness and commitment to maintain daily service logs as required by district policy Excellent organizational and time management abilities to serve students in different locations Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, administrators, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and group instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in accordance with their IEPs Consult and collaborate with general education teachers and staff to adapt curriculum and classroom environments Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain detailed, district-required logs of all services provided Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and staff training as needed Foster an inclusive, accessible, and supportive learning environment This position offers a rewarding opportunity to inspire students while developing your professional skills in a collaborative school setting.
