Category Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing Job Type Contract A full-time Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing is needed for the upcoming school year in Columbus, GA. This contract position runs from August 3, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with an expected 37.5-hour workweek. The role involves supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing across multiple school buildings within the district.
Responsibilities include:
Providing specialized instruction and support tailored to deaf and hard of hearing students Managing caseload effectively, which may span multiple locations within the district Maintaining detailed daily logs of services and activities to ensure compliance with district requirements Collaborating with educational teams, families, and related service providers to enhance student learning and progress
Qualifications:
Valid Georgia Educator Certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education Proven ability to manage time and maintain accurate documentation Experience working with diverse caseloads and navigating multi-site service delivery
