Job Description

Category Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing Job Type Contract A full-time Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is needed for a school district in Columbus, GA, supporting students for the 2026-2027 school year from August 3rd, 2026 through May 21st, 2027. This contract position offers approximately 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will serve a caseload likely spread across multiple school buildings.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Maintaining daily logs to document services provided, as required by the district. Effectively managing time and caseload across multiple locations. Collaborating with school staff and families to meet students' educational goals.
Qualifications and experience:
Valid Georgia Educator Certification for Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Experience working with DHH students in an educational setting. Strong organizational skills and willingness to maintain detailed service logs. Ability to manage multiple school assignments within a district.

Columbus, Georgia This position requires onsite work; virtual or remote arrangements are not available.
