Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes early childhood development, literacy, math, and social-emotional skills. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality, inclusive instruction tailored to meet the diverse needs of all children. This position offers an exciting opportunity to mentor fellow educators, implement innovative curriculum strategies, and make a meaningful impact on children's educational journeys. Duties Develop and implement engaging, evidence-based lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student IEPs (Individualized Education Programs). Create a positive classroom environment that supports behavioral health, behavior management, and social-emotional learning. Utilize speech therapy techniques, behavioral therapy strategies, and literacy education methods to support diverse learning needs. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and inform instructional adjustments. Collaborate with families, therapists, and other specialists to coordinate early intervention efforts and support holistic child development. Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring safety, engagement, and inclusive participation for all students. Mentor assistant teachers and volunteers while fostering professional growth through ongoing coaching and feedback. Qualifications Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or special education settings, including preschool or private school environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques. Experience working with children with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental delays; familiarity with IEP processes is essential. Skills in speech therapy, behavioral health interventions, literacy education, math instruction, and behavioral management strategies. Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams; excellent communication skills are vital. Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that incorporate Montessori or other specialized pedagogies for early childhood education. Certification or training in behavioral therapy or related fields is preferred; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
