Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Up to $40-$46/hour | Fayetteville, GA | Full-Time | 2026-2027 School Year | Full-time contract position supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a collaborative, structured school environment.
Position Details:
Elementary School caseload Full Time - Starting July 2026 1.0 FTE, M-F About the Role Hello, Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing! Ampersand Therapy is seeking a full-time Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for an elementary school setting in Fayetteville, GA. In this role, you will support students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing by providing specialized instruction, maintaining student data, and ensuring implementation of IEPs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and play a key role in supporting student progress and overall success. This position is a great fit for both experienced educators and those new to school-based settings. Why Join Us Competitive pay (Up to $40-46/hour) + steady school-year schedule W-2 employment with liability insurance included Healthcare benefits• + 401(k) with company match Reimbursement for licensure, CEUs, and professional expenses Mileage reimbursement between sites + referral bonuses What You'll Do Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance Instruct students based on Individualized Education Programs (IEP); assess and monitor student progress Develop lesson plans; identify instructional materials, assess equipment to augment instruction; maintain student data; and utilize a variety of instructional strategies to improve student achievement and promote positive student behavior Prepare relevant paperwork prior to scheduling and conducting IEP meetings. Ensure compliance with state rules and regulations, IEP development and implementation, timelines and data collection for students on the caseload Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, interpreters, and other professionals regarding students' educational programming Participate in departmental meetings and professional learning activities Monitor and maintain assistive listening devices Perform other duties as assigned and allowable by intended program What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university in education of the hearing impaired Valid Professional Standards Commission approved certificate in the area of hearing impairment Strong communication and collaboration skills School-based experience preferred, but not required About Ampersand Therapy Ampersand Therapy is a women- and therapist-operated company built by providers who understand school-based work.
