Send job Job Details Job DescriptionJob Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. This rewarding contract opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year, providing valuable services across multiple educational sites. Work closely with a diverse student population in a collaborative, supportive school environment committed to individualized growth and success. Bring your expertise and compassion to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing and help facilitate meaningful inclusion, communication access, and academic achievement. This is a part-time position, averaging 20 hours per week, with a consistent schedule from July 27th, 2026, through May 25th, 2027.
Qualifications:
Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in Special Education - Deaf Education (P-12)OR Georgia certificate in Special Education General Curriculum (P-12) with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement Solid understanding of best practices in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education Passion for creating accessible, equitable learning experiences Strong communication and collaboration skillsResponsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support to students with varying degrees of hearing loss Develop and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in coordination with instructional staff and families Collaborate with general and special education teams, administrators, and specialists Implement assistive technology and strategies that foster communication and participation Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies to meet unique academic and social needs Offer consultation and professional support to teachers and staff across multiple school sites If you're dedicated to empowering students and ready to share your expertise in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education, we want to connect with you!
