Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your expertise will help shape the foundation for lifelong learning, ensuring each child's unique needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated educators eager to make a meaningful impact while leading curriculum development and mentoring fellow staff members. Duties Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with developmental milestones and educational standards across early childhood education, special education, and literacy. Lead classroom activities that promote speech therapy, behavioral health, and behavioral management strategies tailored to children with diverse needs, including those with autism or developmental disabilities. Collaborate with families, therapists, and support staff to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring personalized learning goals are met effectively. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques, fostering a safe and respectful environment conducive to learning. Mentor and supervise assistant teachers and interns, providing guidance on curriculum delivery, classroom management, and child development best practices. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress in literacy, math, communication skills, and overall childhood development. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, behavior reports, and IEP updates while ensuring compliance with educational policies and privacy standards. Requirements Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or special education settings; preschool or private school experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and classroom management techniques. Experience working with children with disabilities or developmental delays; familiarity with behavioral health strategies such as behavioral therapy is preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, therapists, and other stakeholders. Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate speech therapy techniques and adapt instruction for children with diverse learning needs. Demonstrated proficiency in working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities within inclusive classrooms. Certification or training in early intervention practices or Montessori methods is a plus; relevant credentials include teaching licenses or specialized certifications in special education or behavioral health.
