Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in an inclusive classroom for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is ideal for educators passionate about creating positive learning environments for every child and collaborating with dedicated teams. Located in a supportive elementary school, you'll have the chance to impact the lives of approximately 8-9 students alongside talented colleagues.
Qualifications:
Valid GaPSC Teaching Educator Certification Special Education General Curriculum endorsement required Experience within inclusion settings strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with fellow educators and support staff Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instruction in an inclusion classroom to meet IEP goals for students with diverse needs Collaborate with co-teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers for optimal student outcomes Foster a welcoming, supportive learning atmosphere for students and families Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, parent conferences, and planning sessions Assist with pre- and post-planning days as needed to ensure classroom readiness Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal guidelines
