In this vibrant role, you will lead engaging activities, foster a safe and nurturing environment, and inspire children to explore their interests through a variety of camp programs. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create memorable summer experiences that promote growth, teamwork, and confidence. Duties Plan and facilitate dynamic daily activities aligned with camp themes, including arts, sports, theater, and educational games Maintain a safe environment by supervising children closely and implementing proper behavior management strategies Engage children in meaningful learning experiences that support childhood development and early childhood education principles Manage classroom or activity spaces efficiently to ensure smooth transitions and organized sessions Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any health or safety concerns Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure a cohesive camp experience and uphold camp policies Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and behavior (where applicable) Qualifications - Teacher, Teaching Major, or Camp Experience Preferred Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or summer camps is preferred Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to motivate and engage young learners Certifications in first aid and child CPR are highly desirable Knowledge of special education needs or experience working with children requiring additional support is a plus Passion for teaching, childcare, sports coaching, theater arts, or Christian counseling is highly valued Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude Demonstrated understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques This role is perfect for energetic individuals eager to inspire children through creative activities, sports coaching, theatrical performances, or educational programs.
